Featured Performer -- Caroline Aiken

Caroline Aiken-- A local folk/rolk/blues icon, Caroline is a stalwart member of the local acoustic scene.  Her varied recordings have featured supporting roles from virtually all the local names, including the Indigo Girls.  Her high-energy talents have taken her throughout the country with annual tours from coast to coast.

A talented songwriter whose lyrics are often personal and introspective, Caroline writes songs that are delivered with gutsy, powerfully clear vocals that impress, whether belting out the blues or crooning a soft ballad.  Her voice is backed by guitar playing that ranges from clean, quiet 6-string picking to knock-your-socks-off, rollicking 12-string acoustic rock-blues riffs that have garnered accolades from music critics and fans alike.  We may even see her on the keyboard for a song or two.  Aiken has just released a new album, "Are We There Yet Mama?"  "Caroline alone just smoked 'em!" -- Pierce Pettis (about a Kerrville performance)  See her website at:  http://www.carolineaiken.com

Special guest, Dave Potts -- A performing songwriter based out of Auburn, Alabama, this transplanted Coloradan has embraced the South physically and lyrically.  You will be treated to a smooth, mellow voice that evokes David Wilcox, clean talented guitar work, and lyrics that touch the heart.  This guy's stuff stays with you!  That is probably why he has had such success in the songwriting contests at places like the Kerrville, Telluride and South Florida Folk Festivals.  His songs and albums have received awards and acclaim.    http://www.davepotts.com
