The next Fiddler's Green Concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 16th at
the Garden Hills Community Center located at 307 Pinetree Drive in Buckhead
(behind the swimming pool at Rumson and Pinetree just north of East Wesley).
Map. This show features Cowboy Envy . The
performance is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
Donation $15 general admission, $13 AAFFM members.
Our feature serves up its own special version of music and
fun. You'll hear Frenchie, Too Short and Buffalo Kay sing sweet
three-part harmonies reminiscent of the Andrews Sisters, as they perform
traditional western music from the thirties and forties, along with some very
unique originals written in the classic western style.
The vocal melodies will be backed by extremely
capable musicianship on guitar, bass, mandolin, ukelele, and bullwhip
(yes, I said bullwhip - you'll just have to come to the show to find
out...). Ropin' Roger French will sit in on accordion, too. A
Cowboy Envy performance is great fun, as both the song lyrics and the reparte
between these cowgirls will have you in stitches. Fans of Ryders in the
Sky will find Cowboy Envy to be a delight.
Special guest, Tammy Fowler -- After
disappearing into the acoustic music vortex of Nashville for several
years, we're dragging this wonderful songstress back for a rare solo
performance to start the show. Tammy has a lovely strong,
clear voice. She has worked continuously in honing her songwriting,
guitar playing and stage performance skills to the point where she has earned
the respect and admiration of many of the top acoustic acts. Fowler has a
great music future ahead of her, and we're pleased to have her back on our
stage.
