Fiddler's Green Coffeehouse
Presents
Traditional Holiday Music
December 18

Seegar Swanson

Many thanks to the Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Gwinnett, home of Moonsongs Coffeehouse, for opening its doors to AAFFM in December. We hope that by January we will be back in our beloved cabin at Garden Hills, all reconstructed and better than ever. Meanwhile, with reconstruction of the Garden Hills Recreation Center not yet complete, AAFFM will hold its annual Member Christmas Party and Fiddler's Green Coffeehouse at UUCG on Saturday, December 18.

The party will be start in the afternoon and is open to all AAFFM members and guests. See this month's newsletter for details.

Fiddler's Green Coffeehouse will begin at 8:00. This month, Fiddler's Green is merging its effort with that of the Moonsongs Coffeehouse (which takes December off) in presenting traditional folk music with a holiday flair. Scheduled performers so far are The Dots (John and Lynda Anderson, Don and Laeta Smith, and Doug Allison on a variety of instruments, including dulcimer, harp, accordion, guitar, and kazoo) and Barney's Goat (Chris Moser, Phil Matteson, Nancy Holcombe, & Tom McNeil on 6- & 12-string guitar, fiddle, mandolin, bass, bodhran, pennywhistle & recorder). Additional performers are being lined up. Admission will be around $7, with a discount for AAFFM members and no charge for children 12 and under.

UUCG is located at 12 Bethesda Road SW, in Lawrenceville, at the intersection of Bethesda Church Road and Ronald Reagan Parkway, off Highway 29 between Lawrenceville and Lilburn. From Atlanta, take I-85 north to the Pleasant Hill Road exit and turn right on Pleasant Hill. continuing until you reach the entrance to the Reagan Parkway. Turn right (naturally!) to enter the parkway and take the second exit, which is Bethesda Church Road. Turn left (back across the overpass); UUCG is on the right on the other side of the Parkway. For more detailed directions, call 770-513-1968 or the church at 770-717-7913.
